Privacy
This page covers how connorfowler.com and the personal tools associated with it handle data. The site is run by one person, Connor Fowler, with no team or company behind it.
What this website collects
Plausible Analytics tracks anonymous page views. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not build a profile of visitors across the web. It records counts of page visits, referrer domains, and rough country-level location. Plausible's own privacy notice covers the technical detail at plausible.io/privacy.
There are no third-party advertising scripts or trackers beyond Plausible. There is no comment system.
Outbound links to external sites open in new tabs and are subject to those sites' own privacy practices.
Contact form
The contact form on this site collects only what a visitor chooses to submit, typically a name, an email address, and a message. Submitted data is kept internally, is used only to respond to the message, and is not sold, traded, or shared with third parties. Data is retained for as long as needed to respond and follow up, then deleted on request.
Newsletter (Wax Walls)
The Wax Walls newsletter is hosted on Substack at connorfowler.substack.com. Subscribers' email addresses are received and stored by Substack under their privacy policy at substack.com/privacy. No subscriber data flows back to this website.
Personal automation tools
Personal automation tools are used to support internal operations such as analytics review, scheduling, and content management. These tools are for internal use only. They do not collect, store, transmit, or share data from website visitors, newsletter subscribers, or other third-party users. Data processing happens internally.
Pinterest integration
One of the personal automation tools connects to a single Pinterest account using the official Pinterest API and the Tailwind scheduling service. The integration's purpose is to read analytics for that account and to schedule, edit, or remove that account's own pins.
What the integration accesses: account-level metrics, board metadata, and the account's own pins and scheduled drafts. What the integration does not do: it does not access, collect, store, or share data about any other Pinterest user, their pins, their boards, their followers, or any private content visible only to other accounts.
Pinterest user data accessed through the API remains governed by Pinterest's own privacy policy and is used only within the scope described above. The Pinterest API access can be revoked at any time from the connected account's Pinterest settings.
This integration is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Pinterest, Inc. or Tailwind App, Inc.
Cookies
This website does not set tracking cookies. The font provider (rsms.me) and Plausible may set technical cookies necessary for delivery, but no advertising or tracking cookies are placed.
Data retention
Plausible analytics data is retained for as long as the site uses Plausible. Newsletter subscriber data is retained by Substack for as long as a subscription is active and is removed when a subscriber unsubscribes, per Substack's policy. Pinterest API access tokens are retained only as long as the integration is active and are deleted when the integration is revoked or no longer needed.
